Your Role as a Logic E-commerce Architect

We are seeking an E-commerce Architect to join our E-commerce team. This position is a good fit for a candidate who wants to work closely with retail clients as trusted advisors. The E-commerce Architect role is a highly interactive, complex role where the consultant has a blend of strong analytical, design, communication, leadership, problem solving and business skills.

Successful candidates must have demonstrated expertise in E-commerce, CRM and Digital Marketing applications and architectures.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify and document client business challenges and make meaningful technology-based recommendations
  • Provide system demonstrations, testing and training to drive solution adoption
  • Engineer technical and/or functional solutions to meet client requirements
  • Take the ownership to architect and design all components related to E-commerce applications
  • Provide deep subject matter expertise in all E-commerce areas
  • Lead client sessions from conceptual framework to detailed design
  • Design innovative solutions that best bridge any gaps between a client’s requirements and standard system functionality
  • Earn trusted advisor status through demonstrated knowledge of common and emerging retail practices
  • Confirm completion of high-quality deliverables for self and less experienced consultants
  • May serve as a delivery lead for a project or for a workstream within a project
  • Actively contribute to Logic’s Knowledge Base of collective wisdom
  • Effectively communicate with subordinates, peers, superiors, and clients in a way that drives deliverables forward and maintains open communication lines
  • Mentor less experienced consultants
  • Comply with all Logic defined processes and procedures



  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with E-commerce tools (e.g. Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Commerce Cloud, Spryker, Magneto, Orchestra, etc.)
  • Strong SQL and Data Modeling experience
  • Candidates should also be familiar with E-commerce concepts and architectures
  • Strong background in enterprise software architecture, specifically with highly scalable API-based and SaaS
  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented Design, Microservices and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
  • Experience in customer experience (CX), order management systems (OMS) and CRM
  • Ability to stand in front of a client and present your recommendations with authority and poise, even in situations where you are still learning the solution or retail vertical
  • Ability to quickly learn new software solutions, even without formal hands-on training
  • Can confidently lead all stages of a project from solutioning to testing to go-live
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, if needed
  • Interpersonal skills that allow you to read situations quickly, manage expectations, and speak from experience
  • Goal-oriented and driven attitude with a superior ability to execute and sustain a high sense of urgency
  • Self-motivated, tenacious with an entrepreneurial approach
  • Effective written and verbal communications to work collaboratively with project and practice teams and client stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal/networking skills

Mandatory experience:

  • +8 years of E-commerce experience
  • Proven experience in E-commerce
  • Client facing skills, hence consulting experience is a must


  • Demonstrated knowledge of retail industry required
  • PHP knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge about professional software engineering e.g. SOLID-principles, Clean Code, Separation of Concerns
  • Working experience with frameworks like Zend, Symfony, Laravel or others
  • Backend: PHP7, PostgreSQL, MySql, Redis, ElasticSearch, Jenkins, RabbitMQ, Twig, Composer
  • Frontend: TypeScript, Webpack, NPM
  • System: Vagrant, Saltstack, Docker, Git



  • Based in Portugal, United Kingdom or United Arab Emirates
  • Should be open for travel within EMEA or outside for any project requirements
  • Should be flexible for short term and long-term travel
