Your Role as a Technical Consultant
There is never a typical day at Logic, but that’s why people love it here! As a Technical Consultant, you will utilize your knowledge of design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of highly scalable data warehouse solutions. You will work closely with our retail clients to determine how their businesses are run today and what opportunities for process improvement exist for the future. You will use a variety of tools to translate customer needs into solution capabilities – including, but not limited to, gathering and documenting business needs of the client, providing system demonstrations, testing, training and driving process engineering.

You might spend your day:

  • Conducting discovery and design sessions with our retail business clients and technical teams to understand their business processes, existing pain points and data/reporting requirements
  • Convert requirements into technical designs as per LogicWorks methodology and BI/Data Warehousing best practices
  • Identify source systems for the data and conduct mapping sessions
  • Collaborate with the team to create data conversion scripts/integrations and test it ensuring data quality and acceptable system performance
  • Performing risk assessments throughout the project and taking actions to mitigate risks and meet project deadlines
  • Facilitating the logging, reporting, and resolution of application technical issues
  • Participating in performing go-live assessments to determine readiness of the system as well as client and support teams
  • Participating in supporting production environment as necessary
  • Performing knowledge transfer to client technical team
  • Assisting in handoff to support team upon successful project completion

Basic Qualifications

  • 6 or more years of experience of building ETL programs for data-warehousing using one or more of the technologies like ODI, Informatica, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Korn Shell scripting, Python, Amazon Glue etc
  • Experience in designing and developing dimensional data models, ETL/ELT frameworks and processing for modern enterprise data warehouse and BI applications
  • Knowledge and Experience with one or more of the following: Snowflake, Teradata, Netezza, Amazon RedShift, Google BigQuery, Oracle, Azure Synapse and/or SQL Server
  • Expertise on collaborating with the business analysts and ETL team members to resolve complex data design issues
  • Ability to determine and provide optimal solutions that meet business requirements and benefits system performance
  • Participate in design reviews and help to ensure the application of best practices and standards
  • The ability and willingness to travel up to 80% for client interaction
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the field of retail, customer analytics, marketing analytics, and/or supply chain analytics
  • Experience working in Apache Spark, Kafka and/or other near-real time message based or streaming data integration solutions
  • Experience working in modern BI Applications like MicroStrategy, OBIEE, Tableau, Power BI
  • Experience working in Azure, AWS or Google Cloud platforms
  • 2 or more years of consulting experience with third party/external clients
  • Experience in RDW, Retail Analytics, Retail Insights, XBRi and/or other Oracle Retail Applications
